We conducted a Family get together and Investiture ceremony of the new office bearers and felicitated the out going team of office bearers on 09.05.2010. We started the Family get together with children's games and variety entertainment for the doctors and their family members by 4.30pm.
The chief guests were Dr.S.S.Sukumar, President, TNSB, and Mr.M.S.Muthusamy, SP of Police, Dindigul district. The guest of honour was Dr.K.Stalin, Vice President, West zone, TNSB.About 350 doctors and their family members attended the function. Dr.J.C.Sekar, the outgoing President welcomed the gathering. Dr.C.Muralidharan, the outgoing Hony. secretary gave an impressive list of the past 2years, with LCD projector. Dr.T.Dhanaraj, the outgoing Finance secretary gave a brief financial report. Then, our TNSB President, Dr.S.S.Sukumar installed the new team. Dr.V.Thambuswamy, the incoming President, and Dr. J.Amala Devi, the incoming Hony. secretary gave the acceptance speech.
Dr.J.Paramasivam and Dr.S.Mohan Rao, Past Presidents felicitated the outgoing team. Dr.K.Stalin welcomed the new team and he also presented a memorandum to the SP to take action against quackery. Dr.S.S.Sukumar congratulated the outgoing team for their stellar performance and he welcomed the new team. He dwelt on his slogan for the year I- Initiate, M- Motivate and A- Adopt Organ and blood donation an directed the new team to start the work on maintaining a registry for the organ and eye donations. His presence was a great motivating factor for all as he donated blood for 135 times.
The SP,M.S.Muthusamy enjoyed the meet and wished the new team all success. He promised action against quackery.

We, Doctors not only have academic interest but also we try to extend our services to the community who are in need.To mark the day of Dr.P.C.Roy (Doctors Day), the IMA has adopted      Maria Antoniya Home for the aged at Yagappanpatti to provide free medical check ups and health care facilities for its inmates in the coming years.

As a beginning a free Medical Check up was conducted on 08-07-2010 for 60 senior citizens of the home.  

Adolescent Health Awareness Programme for school students was conducted by IMA-Dindigul Branch in co-ordination with Family Planning Association of India, Dindigul Branch on 02-09-2010 and 03-09-2010–3-00 to 5-30 p.m.at Annamalaiyar Mills Girls Higher Secondary School, Dindigul.   About 1300 students from Xth, XIth and XII Standards were participated in the programme.

Dr.K.P.Murugesa Dorai Singam, Medical Officer, FPAI-Dindigul Branch-CCC delivered a talk on importance of the "Adolescent Health”. All the students were actively participated and observed the programme.  Most of the students have raised some questions and doubts regarding the Menstrual problems, puberty, etc., among them.  The doubts were clarified by Dr.J.Amaladevi, Hon.Secretary, IMA, Dindigul Branch. A book titled “Njhop cd;id mwpe;jhy;“ – (Adolescent Health Awarenees Book) written by Dr.J.Amaladevi was given to all the students.  The Headmistress of the School and the teachers of the school appreciated the programme conducted by IMA-Dindigul and FPAI-Dindigul Branch.  They felt that this programme was the need of the day.

About 78 members of IMA Dindigul Branch registered their votes for selecting the State Vice President.

We conducted a world blood Donation Day 2010,we have conducted Blood Donation Camp and Awarenaess at Dindigul M.V.M.Govt.Arts College for women on 1-10-2010. About 2000 students were participated in the camp.

Medical Check up was conducted on 09-10-2010 at Maria Anthonia Old Age Home, A.Vellodu, Dindigul.    Dr.Thambusamy, President, Dr.J.Amaladevi, Hon.Secretary, Dr.S.Anbuselvan, Hon.Treasurer attended the camp and examined the Old age people.   
After the Medical checkup is over, there was an entertainment programme like Cultural programme by the inmates were conducted.For that  programme success inmates were honoured by the IMA Team.  Prizes were distributed to the people.   Towels, Snacks were also provided to all of them.

Adolescent Health Counselling and Guidance  programme conducted for the students of NSVV Higher Secondary School, Pattiveeranpatti on 19-10-2010 at 2-00 p.m..  There are about 250 students attended the programme.  More than 10 teachers have participated in the meeting. 
Dr.J.Amaladevi, Hon. Secretary, IMA Dindigul briefed about the physical and mental health hygienic practices.  Some of the students raised questions through paper.  These questions were clarified by the resource persons. The Principal of the School was very much appreciated IMA Dindigul for the conduction of the programme
